No tourist or traveler should leave Romania until he has given a tour of Sibiu. The former capital of Transylvania, the former Hermanstadt, but especially the former cultural capital of Europe exactly 10 years ago, the beautiful city crossed by the Cibin River and surrounded by mountains, must be explored far and wide, from the morning until late at night, only when you feel out of energy and, therefore, it is time to withdraw from the walls of the largest medieval ensemble of Romania.
To make sure you enjoy the city and discover everything that it has to offer, I recommend you spend at least 2, 3 here, and I would suggest you include the stunning Transfagarasan in the package, just as I told you in a previous article. Still, one day is enough to get lost on its narrow and colorful streets, to admire the Tower of the Council, the red roofs and their eyes, the Lutheran Evangelical cathedral, or the Brukenthal Museum, to cross the Bridge of Lies and take some beautiful pictures. As I did in the spring when Sibiu was the starting point of our Eastern European trip that covered 5 countries. Of the dozens of photos, although it was hard for me, I chose 20 to share with you.
