I had never even heard of Sibiu before I read your blog. Your highly evocative photos now make me want to visit.
Thanks, Denny, for your nice words. I’m glad I made you want to visit this beautiful city 🙂
I’ve heard good and bad things about visiting Romania, especially about the capital. I always figured that one can escape to the other smaller and perhaps prettier towns, and from this post, it seems there are some worthy ones, at least Sibiu! I too never heard of this place before, but it looks old and is certainly picturesque. Are those HDR shots at the beginning?
I’m sorry you heard bad things about visiting Romania. I can assure you it is a gorgeous country with so many beautiful things to offer and the capital, Bucharest, I’m sure you will love it! 🙂
What a lovely old city. I like this authentic doors and windows. Definetly worth taking a walk if you are in Romainia
Sibiu, the former capital looks like a historians paradise. I would love to visit these places.
what a cool place to visit! You’ve really made me want to visit not only Sibiu, but all of Romania. I can see why you recommend not leaving the country until you see this beautiful place
Romania is on my list and I’m itching to visit it sooner seeing these photos. Thanks for the photo inspiration.
Sibiu is my favorite romanian city. It gives me positive energy everytime I arrive there. It is boem, but refined. If I would move from Cluj, then I would definitely choose Sibiu.
Romania is a great destination. Shame too many people don’t consider it. Of the 110 countries I’ve been to, it’s one of my favorites.
I’ve not been to Romania but I’m hoping to go this year and I’ll make sure Sibiu is fitted into my itinerary. Beautiful photos!
