I’ve said it in my previous articles, but I feel the need to repeat it endlessly: Miami Beach is the city where I would love to live. : D
I strongly believe in the idea that the place where you live can have a huge impact on your daily mood, and Miami Beach is a very beautiful city, cheerful and colorful, which could make everyone happy, or at least, the water, beach, sun, fun and palm trees lovers.
The average annual temperature is not a criterion to ignore, as well. In Miami, there is no cold season, you can splash in the Atlantic Ocean12 out of 12 months year-round, and you can enjoy a perfect tan always.
True, there are times when it rains almost every day and the streets are flooded in a very short time, but in most of the time, Miami is sunny and warm.
A simple Google search by typing Miami Beach, will reveal a lot of beautiful pictures with palm trees, Art Deco style hotels (by the way, in Miami Beach you will find the largest collection of Art Deco style buildings, in the world; I wrote about it, here), large sandy beaches, the famous Ocean Drive boulevard, the hottest clubs and restaurants in Florida, residences of celebrities and wealthy people on the Star Island, luxurious cars with many horsepowers, cruise ships that will take you on a vacation in the Caribbean or even in Costa Rica, Puerto Rico or on the beaches of Cancun, Mexico. I haven’t reached a cruise yet, but it is on my wishlist and I hope to fulfill this desire, soon.
I visited Miami Beach two years in a row, and because I’m hopelessly in love with the resort, I thought of doing an article in which I’ll put my TOP 20- The most beautiful photos taken here, hoping that will inspire you to visit this beautiful region of the United States.
Searching for photos through my archives, I realized that I didn’t take too many, and I think the main reason for that is that I actually forgot to take out my camera and capture the scenery.
Miami is so beautiful that the atmosphere here helps you disconnect from everything technology related and really enjoying everything around you.

I have always loved all things Art Deco and I discovered the Art Deco District of Miami Beach in 1988 from Barbara Capitman’s book “Deco Delights.” I lived in Kansas City at the time and didn’t know that in just 3 years, I would be working & living in Orlando, FL. Due to paranoid coworkers, I didn’t visit South Beach for the first time until 1994. I shot 10 rolls of 35mm film that first trip. I also shot 35mm stereoscopic photos with a 1949 Realist camera. In 2009 I finally went digital with 2 cameras connected for 3D. I have posted many of my 3D photos on Pinterest. I don’t know how many people visit South Beach just to take in the Architecture, but that’s the reason I visit.

Sure. The link is http://www.pinterest.com/gregoryhighfill but to enlarge the photos, you have to “join” Pinterest, which is free. The pin boards are full of small thumbnail photos that you can click on to make larger. Under the right corner of the photo is an “open” button that will enlarge the image further to fill a window. To view in 3D you need red/cyan glasses, which can be found very cheaply. Just Google “anaglyph glasses.” I hope you enjoy the 3D photos! 😀
