Why Jesen Inn 2? Because there are also Jesen Inns 1 and 3. While the first and third are a one-stop hotel and a cheap hotel for a minimal budget, Jessens Inn 2 has more comfort and other facilities that place it among the hotels where you would love to spend your holidays in Kuta, Bali.
The hotel is located in the center of Kuta, but to my surprise, this did not impede that the days spent there to be very quiet, in contrast with what goes on beyond its gates.
The location is very good, both the beach and the famous boulevard, well-known for shopping and the extremely active nightlife, Legian Kaja, being located just 10 minutes’ walking distance.
There are also a few malls nearby, including the Bali Galeria and the BeachWalk Mall, which I have already mentioned in the article about Kuta. Jesen Inn 2 is perfect if you want to live near the only airport on the island, Ngurah Rai, which situated a 15-minute drive away.
We were accommodated on the 2nd floor, so, besides the comfort we had in the room, we enjoyed a very nice view, with the swimming pool in the foreground, a few constructions, temples, and a few plumeria trees. Ah, and some cute kittens that had a daily route on the high fences of the hotel.
I liked the room very much, especially because it was spacious enough not to have to scatter our luggage in sight places but also because it was very clean and equipped properly.
Each room at the Jesen Inn 2 has a TV, free wifi, comfortably, bedside tables, a mini desk with a mirror, and a large wardrobe for 2 people. The walls are white, and on the floor, there is a cool white hone, ideal for the warm days spent on the island.
From the room, if you weren’t accommodated downstairs, you walk into a large balcony with a table and two wooden chairs to relax after a day when your feet have been walking miles.
Here, you can enjoy a delicious ice cream, a cold drink, or you can get inspired from me and you can smoke a hookah 🙂 The connection between the balcony and the room is made of two large wooden doors that can be opened so as to create the illusion of an open and very large space, which seemed very nice.
Unlike the room that surpassed my expectations, the bathroom is the one that disappointed me somewhat. I was expecting to see the footprint of the Balinese style, but that did not happen.
So I had an absolutely mediocre bath, too minimalist for my tastes.
Restaurant and breakfast
Jesen Inn 2 has an interior courtyard, decorated with a lot of island-specific vegetation, in the midst of which there is a kind of Belvedere, equipped with several cozy sofas and tables. The kitchen and the restaurant, the sources of food, are also located in the immediate vicinity.
You can choose between several types of breakfast, including the continental, the American or, obviously, the Balinese, my favorite. I recommend you try the noodles at Jesen Inn, they were delicious!
- The swimming pool is definitely a plus of the hotel, well-maintained, clean, and beautifully decorated with many plants and statues representative of the Balinese culture.
- The hotel staff was very kind and receptive to all the requirements we had.
- Prices are extremely affordable. Jesen Inn is a hotel for all budgets, and the quality-price ratio seemed very convenient to me.
- Room service
- Free parking, limited to 6 seats
