Las Vegas or The Sin City is the biggest epicenter for gambling in the world. Is that place that you hope to visit at least once in a lifetime and that occupies a leading position at the top of your bucket list until you get to mark it off.
Desert oasis of Nevada is the largest city in the state and also the capital of Clark County. The construction of the city began in 1905 and is in continuous expansion.

The Gambling Capital of the World is visited annually by over 41 million tourists. This is primarily due to gaming enthusiasts.
If you get here by plane, you’ll immediately notice the slots machines in the airport, and if you walk into a supermarket to do some vegetable shopping, you’ll find them there too.
They are absolutely everywhere in the city, always present, and for that reason, Las Vegas certainly justifies its reputation.
Unless you are not a big fan of gambling or you’re not over 21 yet, do not panic.
Vegas has something for everyone, and you can have a great time in the City of Lights, even without touching the roulette.
Or you can even go to RV rental Las Vegas and take a road trip to some of the most beautiful destinations close to Las Vegas.
Grand Canyon, Death Valley or even Yosemite National Park would be a great choice.
Las Vegas is big, but once you’re here, only one avenue will capture your whole attention and leave you gaping at first sight. The Strip is 6.8 km long.
On this boulevard, you will find 15 out of the 25 largest hotels in the world, by rooms.
The Strip begins at Stratosphere Hotel (North) and ends with the iconic Las Vegas sign (South).
We walked all the way, down the street, and you should really do the same thing as we did if you want to enjoy your time here to the fullest and if you want to feel the atmosphere of this marvelous city.
There are very wide sidewalks on both sides of the road, so it can be very pleasant, to just walk and admire the things around you.

You can get to The Strip walking if you stay at one of the hotels in the area, driving your personal car which you can park it for free at any hotel (valet parking), by taxi or by bus; Deuce Bus, which will cost you $6 for 2 hours.
The bus will take you to the entire length of the boulevard every 15 minutes.
I recommend you to visit The Strip during the day, but after dark is even more amazing and you will definitely understand why one of the nicknames of Las Vegas is the City of Lights.
I would have loved to visit all the hotels on The Strip, but the time didn’t allow me. I did, however, a summary of the ones I was able to mark off.
Caesars Palace
It is one of the most prestigious casino hotels in the world. Caesars contains many statues and columns, all inspired by the Roman Empire.
The hotel opened its doors in 1966 and soon became a location for many films.
At Caesars Palace you can have many kinds of fun: you can enjoy the impressive architecture, you can play at the casino, go shopping at the Forum Shops (over 160 stores to choose from) or you can go to one of the concerts of the famous artists who perform here (Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Elton John and Rod Stewart).
Bellagio Hotel
Bellagio is the most famous hotel in Las Vegas, and this is thanks to the wonderful spectacle of fountains outside of the hotel.
Water literally dances in sync with famous songs, becoming an outstanding artistic act and tourists assist at it, with delight.
The best part is that it’s absolutely free of charge and anyone can attend it. By nightfall, the water jet is accompanied by some very pretty lights.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 3 pm-8 pm every 30 min, 8 pm-12 am every 15 minutes
Saturday &Holidays 12 am-8 pm every 30 min, 8 pm-12 am every 15 minutes
Sunday 11 am-7pm every 30 minutes, 7 pm-12 pm every 15 minutes
Other attractions at Bellagio:
Paris Las Vegas Hotel
Las Vegas it’s famous for the replicas of the famous monuments from around the world. One of them is Eiffel Tower, the symbol of Paris, right across the street of Bellagio.
The size of the construction is only half of the original one, back in France.
The view on top of the tower has been voted as the best view of the city, by Las Vegas Reviews. You can also admire the Arc De Triomphe.
Besides, inside the hotel, you will feel teleported in the French capital.
The Venetian Hotel
After Paris, we land in the beautiful Venice. Here you can enjoy a gondola ride on the artificial canals inside or outside the hotel, with your loved one.
You can opt for a private gondola for the price of $84 or a shared one for only $21. They are scheduled daily between 11 am and 11 pm.
In the Venetian, you can take a selfie with your favorite star at the Madame Tussauds museum for $29.95, and if you have children, they’ll spend from your budget $19.95 for the same reason.
Besides the attractions for which you have to pay, The Venetian offers many things for which you won’t have to touch your budget.
These include the Renaissance architecture, the aqua di Cristallo monument, in the lobby, The Campanile Tower, St. Mark’s Square and Rio Alto, all of them replicas of the originals, back in Venice.
The interior of the hotel is spectacular, and the painted ceiling perfectly imitates the sky of an Italian bright day. Absolutely all of these things deserve at least a little of your time.
The Mirage Hotel
I didn’t spend too much time inside this hotel, but I liked the variety of exotic plants.
The main attraction is, however, the volcano that erupts every evening at 7, 8 and 9 pm.
Unfortunately, when I visited, it seemed that they had a technical problem so I missed it, but instead, I had the opportunity to admire the beautifully landscaped waterfall.
Luxor Hotel
Luxor will guide you to Egypt. The entry of the hotel goes through the Great Sphinx of Giza, whose size is even bigger than the original.
From there, you walk into a huge pyramid, made of glass.
From the peak of the pyramid, it goes out a ray of light into to sky, every night.
It’s the strongest ray of light in the world, created by humans and is said to be visible even by astronauts. In Luxor, you can also enter a shop-museum dedicated to Titanic.
New York Hotel
I didn’t enter the hotel, but I really liked what I could see from the outside: perfect copies of famous buildings in New York (Empire State, Chrysler Building), the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge.
If you want to feel the adrenaline, get in the roller coaster that goes around Manhattan for the price of $14/ride or $25 for an all-day pass.
Circus Hotel Casino
Circus is an awesome hotel for children. Inside, they have the largest indoor theme park in America (Adventure Dome) and also the largest permanent circus.
Besides, you can participate in some free circus performances, such as flying through the air, jugglers, clowns, freestyle BMX, and others.
They start at 11 in the morning, every day. We attended a juggler’s performance, and it was wonderful. Free shows last about 15-20 minutes.
Stratosphere
Stratosphere is the tallest building in Las Vegas and is perfect for extreme sports enthusiasts.
Here you can not only get to the top for a 360 degrees view of the city but also you can try one of the four highest thrill rides in the world: Insanity, X-Scream, Big Shot, and Sky Jump.
Sounds scary, right? Even the price doesn’t seem exaggerated: $15 each or $34 for all.
For the panorama, you will have to pay $18 unless you are one of the hotel’s guests and you get to see it for free.
For sweet lovers
M&M World – 4 storey shop, opened daily from 9 am to 1 am
Hershey Chocolate World, opened daily from 9 am to 10 pm
For shopping addicts
Miracle Mile Shops (part of Planet Hollywood Hotel) or The Forum Shops, part of Caesars Palace.
Also, at the Miracle Mile Shops, you can search on the walls for the words love and welcome, written in your native language.
For Romanian, is Dragoste and Bine ați venit.
Las Vegas Sign
Located at the south end of the boulevard The Strip, Las Vegas’s iconic sign is one of the most photographed landmarks in the United States.
Even if it may seem a cliché, you must take a picture here, especially if it is the first visit to this lovely city.
The sign was designed by Betty Willis of the Western Neon Company in 1959.
The High Roller
It is relatively recent for the city and the largest observation wheel in the world, even larger than the famous London Eye.
Witness a wedding
Las Vegas is one of the destinations where it is very easy to get married.
Couples can choose to link their destiny in one of the chapels or outdoor, and anyone from a Rabbi to Elvis Presley can formalize the ceremony, of course, as long as they are legally authorized.
If you want to know more about the conditions that are needed to get married here, visit https://www.vegas.com/weddings/
Fremont Street
Or old school Vegas. Fremont Street is in the downtown of the city, although it would seem that all the action takes place on The Strip.
Here you will have fun doing these things: participating in live concerts, magic shows, watching some of the most famous performers in the world or observing the wonderful12.5 million lights show.
Accommodation
We have stayed at The Palace Station Hotel, but since it’s a bit far from The Strip, I recommend you to stay at a hotel closer to the entertainment area.
Las Vegas was part of the 10-day trip to the West Coast. I would always come back here for several days.
I realized that Vegas is not just about gambling and there are also so many other opportunities for fun and leisure.
Las Vegas is for all ages and there are plenty of reasons for which is called the Entertainment Capital of the World.

If people have the time, I would also add spending a day out at Red Rock Canyon to the list – such stunning nature, and a really great way to spend the day in the outdoors … gives you a break from Vegas for a little while too, as sometimes it’s needed 😀
That’s a great suggestion, Megan! I would also recommend Grand Canyon 🙂
I’ve never been to Vegas, but of course it is the sought after vacation for any bachelorette/bridal/friends party back in the US. I’m a little hesitant to gamble as well. I would rather keep my money than potentially win more. I guess I’m no fun 🙁 But this is a great resource for those traveling there!
Don’t worry, Natasha! Las Vegas is not all about gambling. There are plenty of other fun activities to do there.
All great Vegas suggestions! The hotels are like little (well, not so little) cities in themselves! It’s crazy. Thanks for sharing and happy travels 🙂
Thank you, Carmen! Happy travels to you too and Happy Holidays! 😀
This is kind of looks good guide for visiting Las Vegas. I personally never been there so planned to go there and for searching regarding that I landed here. I wanted to visit the casino so the Circus Hotel Casino is good place for playing casino games like blackjack and roulette? Or do you have any other suggestion for the same.
I would say most of the casinos are very similar and would have all games like blackjack and roulette. Cicrus Circus is a little far from the main attractions on the strip so it might not be the most convenient place to get to. I would always suggest getting a Duce ticket to help you get from point a to point b.
Great article! I for one really enjoyed visiting all of Vegas when I was there. I was slightly bored though considering I don’t like to gamble. Anyway thanks for writing!
Hi – Your articles are really helpful for my upcoming west coast trip. Whatever you have mentioned above as visit to LV can I visit those places with kids ages 7 and 4? I do have few more adult company to take turns and take care of them so that they do not enter casino area? But in general are they allowed in the lobby / other photo specific spots?
